Branch/Operations Manager

(Jacksonville, FL)

 


Your Day-to-Day Impact
  • Initiate and maintain effective relationships with customers and carriers for branch growth.
  • Develop and maintain a productive work team. This includes hiring, training, and personnel development.
  • Participate in company sales efforts including prospecting new accounts, making sales calls, developing, and quoting rates.
  • Develop and recommend annual budget that will ensure the highest service levels to our customer along with achieving revenue and profit goals.
  • Direct all operational aspects including distribution operations, customer service, administration, and sales
  • Assess local market conditions and identify current and prospective sales opportunities
  • Locate areas of improvement and propose corrective actions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities
  • Analyzes operational and customer performance through direct observation, interpretation of reports and collaboration with others.
  • Partner with company leaders to share knowledge on effective practices, competitive intelligence, business opportunities and needs to foster growth, innovation, and organizational effectiveness
  • Adhere to high ethical standards, and comply with all regulations/applicable laws
  • Network to improve the presence and reputation of the branch and company locally and through LinkedIn
Essentials For Your Success
  • Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field of education or equivalent experience required (Supply chain management and brokerage experience a must)
  • Ability to meet sales targets and production goals
  • Familiarity with industry’s rules and regulations
  • Experience with transportation management systems (TMS)
  • Develop account relationships with contacts at multiple levels within customer organizations. 
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships through strong interpersonal skills with emphasis on relationship-building and consistent demonstration of solid professional judgement
  • Proficient with commonly used office software, including but not limited to: Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
  • Well organized and detailed oriented with ability to multitask and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Available to travel to Customers and other GTI USA locations
