Logistics Coordinator

(Houston, TX)

Qualifications/Educational Requirements:

• Minimum of one year logistics experience
• Previous experience in transportation (truck, rail, etc.) is preferred
• Minimum of one year customer service experience
• MS Office Suite proficiency is required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Live and breathe GTI and Jetco’s Driving 2 Perfection culture, following our core values of safety, candor, accountability, respect and teamwork
• Quote clients and prospects on their loads and projects, and negotiate rates and extra charges
• Receive orders, collect all necessary details and relay information clearly and accurately to vendors, while understanding sense of urgency
• Partner with asset team and third-party carriers to provide clients with solutions that address their load requirements and schedules
• Provide exceptional customer service through clear communication of load status
• Book track and trace loads
• Update status and completion of orders
• Communicate with Accounting and Finance department to ensure smooth invoicing and payment
• Develop and maintain client base, reporting on account growth through regular updates
• Learn, use and leverage company software, websites and technological tools
• Use The GTI Way, our set of best practices and standards, to provide exceptional service and comply with SOPs consistently
• Attend all mandatory company meetings
• Follow all laws and regulations governing his/her position
