For 15th year, Jetco renews with U.S. EPA SmartWay® Transport Partnership

By Katharine Mohn

Today Jetco announced approval of our annual registration in the SmartWay® Transport Partnership, our 15th consecutive year in participating.

SmartWay, a public-private partnership between the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the freight industry, is a market-driven initiative that empowers businesses and fleets to drive supply chain efficiency and resiliency, while protecting public health, reducing air pollution, and restoring American energy dominance.

Jetco will continue contributing to the Partnership’s growing savings of 397 million barrels of oil and 170 million metric tons of CO2. This is the equivalent of the annual electricity use in 26 million homes. By registering in the SmartWay Transport Partnership, Jetco demonstrates its strong environmental leadership and corporate responsibility.

“We're proud to have been an early adopter of the SmartWay Transport Partnership goals, as we continually look for ways to support our clients' sustainability goals and reduce the impact of our emissions and fuel use,” said Jetco President Kyle Kristynik.

Developed jointly by EPA and Charter Partners represented by industry leaders, environmental groups, American Trucking Associations, and Business for Social Responsibility, this innovative program celebrated its 20-year anniversary in 2024. Partners rely upon SmartWay tools and approaches to track and reduce emissions and fuel use from goods movement. The Partnership currently has over 4,000 Partners including multinational shippers (manufacturers and retailers), logistics companies, truck, rail, barge, and multimodal freight carriers.
