# NEW YORK TIMES: The Pandemic Depression Is Over. The Pandemic Recession Has Just Begun.

By Brooke Beall October 5, 2020

Sunday's New York Times analyzes the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the U.S. economy. The article looks at the slow recovery of the economy, job losses and how industries are affected by one another. Truck transportation is "a sector that functions as the economy’s circulatory system, given its crucial role enabling all sorts of commerce," and Jetco CEO and The GTI Group Executive VP Brian Fielkow discusses the trucking industry's recovery and short-term future outlook.
